The Surfboard Journey
Scroll to explore every layer
foam
The heart of the board. A shaped polyurethane or EPS foam blank that gives the surfboard its buoyancy and form.
glass
Fiberglass cloth laid over the foam and saturated with resin. This is where the board gets its strength and flex.
filler
A thin coat of catalysed resin brushed on after lamination. It fills the weave of the cloth and gives you a smooth surface to sand.
gloss
The final layer. A gloss resin coat that gets polished to a shine, protecting the board and making it beautiful.
