The International Women Board Builders Association is a global community dedicated to empowering women in the art and craft of surfboard building.

We believe every woman who wants to be a shaper, laminator, or work in the surfboard building industry — or just build a single board for the fun of it — should have easy access to the knowledge, tools, and this global community to make it happen. From first-timers to master shapers, IWBBA is your place.

Through hands-on camps, online training, and a worldwide network of women who shape, we are breaking down the barriers that have kept women out of the shaping bay for too long.

Most importantly, we want the next generation of girls to see shaping as a real path — not a closed door. They belong in the shaping bay.
