Overview
Shaping is the most hands-on part of the process. Armed with a surform, planer, and sanding screens, you carve the blank down to your design.
Detailed Steps

Transfer the template
Trace your outline onto the blank.

Rough cut
Use a saw or hot wire to cut close to the outline.

Shape the rails
Carve the rail profile from deck to bottom.

Fine tune
Use sanding screens to smooth everything and check your rocker.
